Pisco originates from the distillation process of alcohols that are derived exclusively from the fermentation of ripe grapes, as per traditional methods. This unique beverage stands as the traditional wine eau de vie of Peru, with its distinctiveness owed to the ideal terroir and the authentic mode of production that employs only wine wort. During production, the mature grape is pressed, the wort is then purified and subsequently fermented. Following its transformation into alcohol, the wort undergoes distillation in stills.
