Chimay Blue/Grande ReserveNamed Grande Réserve, it is principally distinguished by its character of a strong beer.
This is a beer whose fragrance of fresh yeast with a light, flowery rosy touch is especially pleasant. Its flavour, noticed when tasting it, only accentuates the pleasant sensations perceived in the aroma , while revealing a light but pleasant touch of roasted malt. This top fermented Trappist beer , refermented in the bottle, is not pasteurised

| I have finally found Nirvana. Here it is. I have been sampling Belgians recently, and thought 'Kwak' was the best beer on Earth - But this beats it. The roasted malt aftertaste is absolutely desireable. With a market that seems saturated with 'Blondes' and IPA's, this dark aromatic pleasantly assaults the senses. It will keep you wanting more - Nirvana.

| Other beers in a similar style: |
| Kwak
-
A wonderful medley of the fruit, Belgian yeast, with a nice moderate hop finish.
|
 |
| Satan Gold
-
Round, fine taste, fruity with a touch of bitterness
|
 |
| Judas
-
A top-notch Pale Ale |
 |
| Leffe Vieille Cuvee
-
Represents the classical "Cru" full of maturity, discrete bitterness with a creamy appearance and very aromatic. |
 |
| Gouden Carolus
-
This fulfils what many look for in a dark Belgian ale.
